Video: Workaround for Adobe Premiere CS4 ImporterProcessClient.cpp Starting Error
December 20th, 2008 by jeremychoneIf you have done a live Vista update lately you might get the following error when starting your Adobe Premiere CS4 application:
“Premiere Pro has encountered an error.
[....SrcImporterProcessClient.cpp-127]”
with one button “continue”.
Once you press the “continue” button nothing happen (and the Adobe Crash Report shows up).
Adobe will probably (and hopefully) solve this problem, but in the meantime here are 2 workarounds:
- Start Adobe Premiere Pro as Administrator (right click on the .exe file and select “Run as administrator“.
- Or Turn Off User Account Control
Hope this help.
I think the problem is that Adobe Premiere Pro CS4 does not support very well the Vista User Control Account system. I usually have it turned off, but my last Vista update turn it back on automatically.
Here is the forum link for this issue: I get an error when I open Premiere Pro (CS4)

“Premiere Pro has encountered an error.
[....SrcImporterProcessClient.cpp-127]”
Turn Off UAC or Run as administrator does not help.
Sad but true.

Same error, completely different problem. Turned out to be a bad installation of cineform aspecthd. Removing and reinstalling did the trick.

1) Open a DOS command prompt in administrator mode (ie Start - All Programs - Accessories - right-click on Command Prompt and choose Run as Administrator)
2) type the following:
cd “Program Files(x86)\Adobe\Adobe Premiere Pro CS4″
regsvr32 MediaCoreMarshall.dll
If that doesn’t work, then yeah, you probably want to reinstall, as there’s other components that might not be registered correctly with the OS. Try launching one of the other installed apps (Encore or Onlocation?), as they all should have the serial number unregistation options.
